A two-day on-site event, starting with a plenary day packed with an amazing presenter from the Nordic countries, followed by a day filled with workshops. The third day consists of optional sightseeing tours around Reykjavík or the Reykjanes Peninsula. There will be a streaming option for day one – the plenary session.
The plenary day is divided into the following sessions:
☘️International and transboundary aspects of adaptation
☘️Adaptation methods, measures, and technique
☘️Planning and resilience
☘️Nature based solutions
☘️ High-level plenary discussion
Day 2 will consist of four workshops, partly parallel, so there is an option of two workshops per participant. The workshop output will be synthesized in a paper aiming to contribute to policy recommendations at future UNFCCC COPs.
The workshops are the perfect platform to both share and learn from our fellow Nordic neighbors focusing on the following themes:
☀️Rising sea level and adaptation
☀️ Nature-based solutions
☀️Master planning with adaptation integration for cities and municipalities
