HEIM | Nordic Affect

Tónlistarhópurinn Nordic Affect býður þér að líta við Mengi laugardaginn 17. desember og njóta jólatónleikanna HEIM. Dagskráin er innblásin af hugtakinu „að halda heim um jólin”. Hópurinn spinnur út frá því 21. aldar jólatónleika sem býður hlustendum inn í tónheim barokk hljóðfæranna, sem einkennist af nánd um leið og þau flytja verk sem standa hjarta þeirra nærri hvort heldur jólalög frá barokktímanum eða þjóðlög frá þeirra heimalandi. Sérstakir gestir eru Ian Wilson blokkflautuleikari og Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson söngvari og íslenskur dróna-síterleikari.

Through the ages, Christmas has been a season when many think of, or travel home. Home is also an ever-changing living environment; one we shape ourselves. Through ‘Að Heima / To Home’ Nordic Affect invites the audience into their musical home, where they meet instruments, whose sounds invite intimacy and nearness. And just as every voice should be heard in the household, all performers will contribute to the program through their own choice of baroque consort music and holiday tunes from his/her homeland into the programming. The event includes the special guest appearance of recorder player Ian Wilson, and vocalist and Icelandic drone-zither performer Eyjólfur Eyjólfsson.
