THEM by Spindrift Theatre is a physical, verbatim theatre piece based on dozens of interviews with men in the Nordic countries about their experience of masculinity, mixed with the company members’ experience of being women in a patriarchal society. The piece explores toxic masculinity and how it shapes gender roles and makes people behave against their morals or better knowledge. Spindrift wants to shine light on taboos caused by toxic masculinity and demand respect for feminine qualities.
